On October 23, at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman, CHOI Jai-chul, Chairman of the Climate Change Center, presented the Center’s strategic direction for accelerating climate action during “An Evening in Support of the Climate Change Center Celebrating the 17th Anniversary.”
In his welcome remarks, Chairman CHOI emphasized that “the speed of our climate response depends on the intellectual networks we build,” highlighting policy expertise, strengthened international partnerships, and future-generation climate leadership as the Center’s key priorities. Marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, he also reaffirmed the Center’s commitment to advancing Korea’s climate leadership within the international community.
Chairman CHOI further noted that the Center will “enhance execution capacity toward a net-zero transition based on the cooperative foundation built over the past 17 years,” underscoring its role as a platform connecting knowledge, policy, civil society, and collective climate action.
