본문
Chairman Jai-chul Choi met with representatives from Climate Policy Institute (CPI), who visited the Climate Change Center on April 16, to discuss collaboration on climate talent development and think tank cooperation. CPI operates as an affiliated institute of Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), which runs education programs alongside research, policy dialogue, and international exchange activities.
During the meeting, both sides shared their respective organizational structures and key areas of work, and explored potential avenues for cooperation, particularly in climate education programs and policy engagement platforms. MCC operates long-term educational programs ranging from primary-level students to university and overseas study opportunities, while hosting approximately 1,000 events annually and engaging in a wide range of international partnerships. Drawing on these practices, the discussion addressed the importance of linking talent development with research and network-based approaches in advancing climate action.
The meeting also reflected a shared understanding that effective climate response requires not only policy and technology, but also strong talent pipelines and collaborative networks, with both sides considering future exchanges and potential areas of cooperation.
